Join us for a Q and A with 2016 Parrish Road Show artist Bastienne Schmidt at the Sag Harbor Whaling and Historical Museum and learn more about her exhibition Archeology of Time

RSVP required; space is limited. Those that do not reserve in advance will not be guaranteed admission to the talk.

Bastienne Schmidt is interested in the documentation and creation of artifacts that carry the patina of memory, history, and time. For Parrish Road Show, she searches the Whaling Museum collection for functional objects that have lattices or grids – such as nets, strings, and hardtack – and reinterprets them through translucent paper works that incorporate threads, fabric, and natural elements.

Parrish Road Show is made possible, in part, by the generous support of Jane Wesman and Donald Savelson, Sandy and Stephen Perlbinder, and Jacqueline Brody. Hamptons Art Hub is the digital media sponsor of Parrish Road Show; Hamptons Magazine is the media sponsor.
