The Open Studio, the second through last Saturday of every month from 10 am-12 pm, is for families to engage, explore, and create art together through hands-on activities. Each month features a different theme and a variety of art materials and techniques inspired by the artwork on view in the galleries. All ages must be accompanied by an adult.
Gallery Talks and Art Workshops, the first Sunday of every month at 2 pm, offer families an art educator-led exploration of three to five works of art and time in the art studio to create projects inspired by the works on view.
After School Art Workshops provide an opportunity to explore the exhibitions, discuss the works on view, and to create works of art inspired by objects in the galleries.
Family Kits, hunt for details, solve the clues, and learn how to look at art together with the Parrish Art Museum’s Family Kits! Explore the Museum’s collection and changing exhibitions through hands-on activities that your family can do in the galleries. Pick up a FREE Family Kit to use during your next visit to The Parrish Art Museum!
Art Workshops focusing on specific mediums are offered throughout the school year. The multiple sessions allow children to learn techniques and create their own works of art.
Vacation Art Workshops are offered during the winter, spring, and holiday school vacations. Participants learn about and create art in a different medium each day.
Summer Art Camps and Workshops provide the opportunity for children to learn, experiment, and create in the visual arts. During these weeks, participants study the art in the galleries, learn techniques, and create a variety of mixed media including painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, collage, and more.
