Gallery Program
Led by a Museum Educator, students explore works on view in the galleries through discussion and interactive experiences such as drawing as a tool for seeing, storytelling, creative writing and more.
Time: Each ArtTalk Gallery Program is approximately 1 hour
Fee: $25 per group up to 25 students*
Please bring at least one chaperone per every 10 students. There is no charge for chaperones.
Media and Methods:
Extended Workshop Program
After participating in an ArtTalk Gallery Program, students create works of art based on the ideas and concepts explored in The Museum. Media and Methods workshops are held in the Carroll Petrie Center for Education, adjacent to The Museum.
Time: 1 ½ – 2 hours
Fee: ArtTalk fee plus additional materials fee of $2 per student*
Please bring at least one chaperone per every 10 students. There is no charge for chaperones.
* Students from the Southampton and Tuckahoe School District are exempt from payment.
Self-Guiding
Teachers are welcome to bring groups of students to view exhibitions on their own. Though there is no fee, reservations must be made in advance and groups must be accompanied by at least one adult chaperone per 10 students.
Maximum Group Size: 30
