Student Art Exhibition
December 5, 2010–January 23, 2011
As an extension of the Parrish’s long-standing School Art Festival, students from neighboring schools will respond to the Parrish’s fall exhibition American Still Life: Treasures from the Parrish Art Museum. Students and teachers will visit the exhibition or view an online slideshow and then create works of their own. The result will be a lively display of student work ranging from pre-Kindergarten through grade 12. The exhibition will include submissions from public and private schools in the townships of Riverhead, Southampton, East Hampton, and Southold. High schools in the township of Brookhaven were also invited to participate.
The student exhibition and related educational programming are made possible, in part, with generous support from Bridgehampton National Bank.
A portion of the Museum’s programs is made possible, in part, with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State Agency, and the property taxpayers of Southampton School District and Tuckahoe Common School District.
